Baku, Absheron District and Gobustan: 8-day sightseeing tour

This journey is built not around fuss, but around fire — in the most literal sense. Baku greets you with a warm wind from the sea and streets where glass neighbors ancient walls, setting the tone for everything that follows. The main excursion load falls on one packed day, and the rest of the time is given to the city at your own taste.

The trip begins calmly: arrival, transfer, the first breath of Baku air. Then — a trip out of town, to the Absheron Peninsula, to places where the land itself suggested to people what to believe in. The Ateshgah temple with a living flame in the center of the courtyard, where pilgrims from distant lands once prayed, and Yanar Dagh mountain, where fire bursts out of the slope and does not go out — this is the heart of the route, its hottest point.

Then the character of the day changes: after fire — stone. Gobustan opens up as a harsh plateau with petroglyphs whose age is measured in millennia, and nearby — mud volcanoes, where the earth slowly bubbles and breathes. This is a day of contrasts: from sacred flame to cold mud underfoot.

The middle of the trip is left free — Baku can be explored at your own rhythm: climb to observation decks, get lost in the alleys of the old city, try local sweets and just look at the sea. Such a rhythm suits those who like to combine an organized excursion with independent walks.

The tour ends with a transfer to the airport with the feeling that the lights of the city remain somewhere behind, but do not go out.
