Reached out to the agency for tickets to Beijing, because with the Chinese visa I'd have been struggling for a week on my own, but here everything got solved quickly, picked up the ready documents in two visits. The city itself is quite a quest with navigation and the language barrier, but that's a plus: real China, not a picture for tourists, crawled around the hutongs, wore my feet out in the Forbidden City, but the Peking duck — that's something else)).

Decided to take a trip to China for my dad's anniversary, he was just dreaming of seeing Shanghai, so the whole family went, I walked into the first agency I saw. I came back not only with the application accepted, but also with reflection from staring at someone else's, totally non-resort life – those hotel smells, borscht for breakfast (surprising, right?) and the eternal hustle of people who aren't "resting"... I only know the language at the level of "ai-ai, ni-hao" and price tags, so it was kind of scary, but everything worked perfectly. by the end I had no strength left for photos or emotions, like I'd been vacuumed and wrung out, but I'm – wildly satisfied)) I'll give five stars, because no one led me by the hand, but we got everything done and all in the best way

my daughter was putting together documents for her studies and needed her diploma confirmed with an apostille, so we just went to the agency, it's right next to my office, so we didn't even have to think about where to go. Food is a whole other story, nobody's looking for borscht there of course, but the noodles in the local joint around the corner from the hotel were just divine, ate three portions. Went on a tour to the buddha statue, it's really gigantic, even photos don't capture the scale, my legs gave out climbing up. The little thing that pissed me off: there was no normal outlet by the bed in the room, had to charge my phone in the hallway like a freak. But the ocean is warm like fresh milk, didn't wanna get out of there at all, guess that's why I got sunburned on my back on the second day. Bought stupid souvenirs, a fridge magnet and a fan, though clearly why do I need them in Almaty. Anyway if you just wanna blow your mind on the scenery and stuff yourself with seafood then here's the place, and I came back satisfied. A whole week of that kinda vibe wouldn't've worked for me, but four days passed like one blink)

Shanghai is just a whole separate universe, I didn't even expect such a contrast. Skyscrapers up to the clouds, and next to them old streets with dried squid that locals sell right on the sidewalk, the smell all around. No particular complaints about the organization, everything on time, transfers clear, but the only thing — the guide was in such a hurry at the sights that on the embankment they could at least let us stand calmly (five minutes for photos, and run on), but this didn't spoil the impression, the city itself is so powerful that I came home really impressed.

Mountains of garbage, prices are space, but at the same time the city really hooks you. Walked the Great Wall for a whole day, my legs were buzzing, the railings in some spots are just oh boy how rickety, but the views – now that’s something else. For us they specially got a Russian-speaking guide in Alatau (that’s the expat district), he talked nonstop, but not in a boring way, more with anecdotes. Totally insane souvenir pagodas and all those their hieroglyphs in the park – I bought a bunch of loose-leaf tea from little shops mixed in with some angry chili. Only downside – the food was too greasy for my stomach the first two days, after that I got used to it and dove into the local eateries without fear. Came back happy as a clam, the trip totally exceeded my expectations, the visa was worth it.

Shanghai just crushed me with its scale, I didn't expect that. The Bund embankment in the evening is something else, all that skyscraper lighting, and the crowd is insane, I even got scared at first. But then we went into some alleyway (completely by chance, we just followed the smell of food) and it was so authentic and calm there that I finally breathed out. From the food I remember soup dumplings — you bite into them and there's hot broth, I burned my tongue but no regrets). Organization was on point, everything smooth, not a single hiccup with the hotel or transfers. The only thing I missed was a proper Russian-speaking guide on the first day. A lot was explained through an app, but I'd rather listen to a live person, it's more interesting anyway. Though honestly, by the third day we'd already figured it out ourselves, found both a park with free pensioners dancing and a cool mall where I blew money on cosmetics. Came back absolutely satisfied, tons of impressions, ready to recommend it to everyone, main thing — bring comfortable shoes, you'll be walking kilometers there.

At first I didn't even get why we were going specifically to Shanghai, thought it'd be just another megacity and that's it, but the city really grabs you. Rode that maglev train — the speed is just out of this world, even though the queue was long. We managed to catch an acrobat show, the kids were totally thrilled, even though I thought it'd be boring. great trip overall, only regret is not bringing more money for souvenirs)))

Money is taken right on the spot for extra entrances, and seems like you could’ve saved on that, but I’m not chasing it A solid five, even someone who for their first international trip took nothing harder than Turkey will handle this one. came back and already recommending it to all my friends))

The ocean was warm, palm trees, no chaos on the beach, though a couple times some little debris flew at me mid-swim, but that’s nothing, kinda funny to even get mad about it. For excursions we went on our own, not through the hotel, turned out cheaper and without the crowds — liked the dolphinarium, but the fire show was meh, wanted to bail halfway through. For the money I flew on the wings just fine, was happy (though I wish they’d warned that in December the cable car line is like forty minutes — we survived).

the guides just said call the travel agency yourselves but our chinese is hopeless so through the agency we took a tour to Beijing and visa processing in one go I generally wasnt planning to go so early but friends called and I decided a week before the flight. by the third day in the city our legs were buzzing horribly but what a breakfast at the hotel — every day different dumplings and local flatbreads hot straight off the grill, I even started waking up before the alarm just to try everything. Then we found some pedestrian street by ourselves past a market where they sell fried scorpions on sticks — the smell was so bad the girl almost ran away but I took one out of curiosity, it crunches like chips and honestly tastes like nothing special. the metro in Beijing is very convenient if you buy a card and dont stress, but english signs are not everywhere so once we went down the wrong way and came out in a completely different area, but we saw an old quarter that is not in any guidebooks. happy with the trip but for that money the guide could have talked more in the museums instead of just leading us through the halls silently I would fly again the second time alone having figured things out

Beijing just blew my mind —— in a good sense, of course. The Great Wall is something else, I touched stones with my own hands that are a thousand years old, and got goosebumps, even though the weather in May was great, not hot. Came back with a suitcase full of junk from the market and happy as a clam, five out of five no doubt.

Beijing as a transit point really didn't do it for us, cold and bustling, but then in Sanya it was like a whole other world — warm air, palm trees and the sea, which I went into on the very first evening. The weather in February is great for those who don't like heat, the breeze from the ocean is pleasant, but the hotel went overboard with the air conditioning in the lobby (who even does that), had to not linger there. Took a couple of excursions through the agency, everything was organized smoothly, the food was unusual, but I even found noodles I liked, came back satisfied)).

I wouldn't have managed the China visas on my own, too much hassle with the paperwork, so I went to the travel agency where my husband had gotten his Schengen before, and I didn't regret it, everything was done in a week and without any stress, although I was worried about the old passports — but it turned out you just had to fill in the form. The flights were decent, direct, but the hotel they offered was across the road from the promenade — the view from the window was meh, but the metro was three minutes away and the breakfasts were fine, so overall I'm happy with the trip, Shanghai is worth it.

needed to organize a vacation to China, but didn't want to run around travel agencies myself, so took the first agency I found in shymkent on a colleague's advice, out of boredom popped in and somehow everything got booked in a day for Sanya. we picked a hotel with a big aquarium in the lobby, I was there like a fooool running around like a kid looking at fish, though they could've at least warned about a shark or something, but overall the service was pretty decent and a couple of days we went on excursions to the jungle, there they recommented not to buy fruit from locals because getting sick would be really hard to deal with, glutton that I am, in the end I just sat on the beach enjoying the warm ocean and then didn't want to leave..

Wanted to escape the grey in January, and a friend just then was recommending to take a tour from a Kazakhstan agency, they seem to specialize in China. Decided not to risk booking on my own — went to Sanya by their bus to the hotel, and it was just the thing after our minus. The beach is clean and not many people, though at breakfast it was always that rice porridge, but nearby I found a stall with proper pastries, where I went until departure. Came back refreshed and satisfied, they earned their money — five points without a doubt).

So, I went to Sanya in July, and you know — it was hot, really hot, but the sea... though wait, the manager picked us a hotel right by the beach, the navigator got us there without any issues, all the transfers were spot on, didn't wanna go back at all, and I still think about the local fruit, dragon fruit for pennies and that noodle dish of theirs with seafood, not many English speakers there but we managed with gestures and google, in the evenings we strolled along the promenade, the wind from the sea saved us from the stuffiness first time I saw sand that clean, it literally squeaked underfoot and was white-white, like sugar on the beach

We flew through acquaintances from a local travel agency, because I myself am always afraid to mess something up with the visa and bookings, but here it seems like people we know recommended just booking a tour for a week. Beijing met us with heat under forty and humidity that made your t-shirt stick to you right at the airport exit, but the buses with air conditioning saved us instantly. I touched the Great Wall with my hands — the stones are hot, rough, and somehow familiar, like I’d known them for a hundred years, though it’s nothing like the pictures on instagram. I liked the Temple of Heaven, it’s very calm there, I even forgot we were in a city of millions, around just pensioners with fans and it smells of some herbs. The organization was fine, no hiccups, but one day was allotted for a trip to a porcelain factory, and I’d rather have had another hour in Beihai park — hope next time they’ll take it into account (I still wouldn’t give a rating above five, there wasn’t enough freedom of action).

Applied for a visa in Kazakhstan for a trip to China, to Sanya, and somehow immediately took a tour package to not bother with hotels. The manager picked an option that fit our wishes, a pleasant girl and without being pushy. We landed and were blown away by the humidity — it just doesn't let up here, but by evening you get used to it. Liked that at the hotel there was always a free lounger by the pool, never had to fight for a spot. Food was fine, though the cuisine is more aimed at Chinese people, but I found a couple of dishes and was happy. Weather in May is good, rain passed once and even then at night, and the sea is kinda... warm and calm, swam plenty. Came back satisfied, after these shores our steppe climate is sure a contrasty beast.

Trip to Shanghai, bought through an agency, and the manager there quickly picked me a route without unnecessary questions. The coolest thing — of course the Bund waterfront at night, skyscrapers just crush you with their scale when you stand below and tilt your head up until your neck goes numb. The queues everywhere are brutal, even on a weekday people were pushing to the observation deck like it was a sale — that was the only thing that got on my nerves, though that view from above was worth it. I recommend finding some kind of hole-in-the-wall place away from tourist streets: there they fed us for pennies with noodles in a spicy sauce so good I broke a sweat. At the same time the city itself is genuinely kinda dirty, smog and it's hard to breathe, but inside you feel this strange vibe of energy that you can't describe. Anyway I came home happy and with a ton of pics on my phone, and the stench of exhaust already faded away..

Went to Beijing, finally convinced myself that the Great Wall is genuinely impressive, takes your breath away when you stand on top and think how many centuries this has all been standing here, while tourists from all over rub shoulders with each other as they pass by. The Forbidden City is great, but in two hours my legs gave out — the area is huge, and for some reason right at the very end I got hungry, had to grab some weird meat pies with sweet sauce, but overall tasty. Came back happy as a clam, even the weather in January didn't let me down, frosty but sunny, and I took so many photos on my phone that now picking the best ones is quite a hassle)

Got a tour to Shanghai through some friends, the whole booking took like twenty minutes and the manager immediately warned about the weather — the week turned out messy, but the short choppy walks along the Bund waterfront filled my head with skyscrapers, and in the evening for some reason we went off looking for that street noodles place, the kind they sell straight out of a first-floor window and you eat standing at plastic tables)) the wifi password at the hotel was printed on the receipt, like it was some big secret, but honestly it was handy. rain hit on day three, but at the Madame Tussauds museum we managed to snap a photo with Jack Sparrow and nobody kicked us out for laughing our asses off like horses Not sure, that food thing is a whole other story — they don’t wash their hands, but overall the duck soup turned out to be the best thing I ate all January, been home for days now and I still got that aftertaste of spices in my mouth.
