About the programme

This is a journey through China, where over eight days five cities unfold before you — Beijing, Xi'an, Luoyang, Shanghai and Suzhou. The route is built so that antiquity and modernity constantly replace each other: imperial shrines and walls coexist with skyscrapers and gardens, and trains between cities become the natural rhythm of the trip — you fall asleep in one city and wake up already in another.

The first half of the trip is Beijing and Xi'an, two cities where history is felt almost physically. The Temple of Heaven, the Great Wall of China, the Summer Imperial Palace — all these are places where you understand the scale of the imperial past. Then the train carries you to Xi'an, to the terracotta army and ancient pagodas, and from there — to Luoyang, where Buddhist traditions and martial arts intertwine.

The second half of the route is Shanghai and Suzhou, more contemplative and measured. Here you can stroll through classical gardens, ascend to an observation deck and simply observe how the rhythm of the big city gives way to the silence of canals and old streets.

The program will suit those who want to see China in its entirety — not only from the point of view of tourist symbols, but also through everyday life: lunches of traditional cuisine, trains, leisurely walks. This is not a race, but also not a relaxed holiday — rather a journey with a rich but well-measured rhythm.

The last day depends on the chosen option: you can end the trip with a transfer to the airport, or you can add one more day and see Zhujiajiao — a water town with canals and stone bridges that lets you feel another side of the region.

Day-by-day itinerary

  1. Day 1

The first day begins in Beijing: meeting at the airport and transfer to the hotel, then — depending on the time of arrival. The main impression of the day is the Temple of Heaven, where for almost five centuries emperors prayed for the harvest. The architecture and atmosphere of this place set the tone for the whole trip. The day ends with free time for rest.

  2. Day 2

This is a day of two contrasts: the stern might of the Great Wall of China and the serene landscapes of the Summer Imperial Palace. Lunch — traditional Chinese cuisine. By the end of the day you move to the railway station and set off by train to Xi'an, in a compartment of a new train.

  3. Day 3

Xi'an greets you with arrival and transfer to the hotel, luggage can be left at the reception. The main event is the terracotta army of Emperor Qin Shi Huang: more than eight thousand clay warriors, each with his own face. You will also see a ceramics factory and the Banpo Museum on the site of an ancient settlement. The day ends with rest at the hotel.

  4. Day 4

The day begins with a walk around the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, without climbing up, and along the Ancient City Wall of Xi'an. For lunch — a dumpling banquet, the traditional cuisine of Shaanxi province. Then a train to Luoyang, arrival and accommodation at the hotel.

  5. Day 5

This is a busy day: first the Shaolin Monastery, the birthplace of kung fu, then the Talin Pagoda Forest with more than two hundred stone pagodas. After lunch — the Longmen Grottoes, carved into the rocks along the Yi River. The day ends with a train to Shanghai in a standard compartment.

  6. Day 6

Arrival in Shanghai and accommodation at the hotel. The program includes the Garden of Joy with ponds and buildings, the observation deck of the Oriental Pearl TV Tower and the Shanghai History Museum. The day ends with a return to the hotel and free time.

  7. Day 7

The trip to Suzhou begins after breakfast. You will visit the Humble Administrator's Garden and the Fisherman's Garden — two classical garden ensembles with elegant landscapes. Lunch — the traditional cuisine of the region. Return to Shanghai.

  8. Day 8

The eighth day depends on the chosen option. If the trip ends, then after breakfast — check-out and transfer to the airport for departure. If the option with the ninth day is chosen, then after breakfast you are awaited by a sightseeing program in light mode with lunch and departure to Zhujiajiao — a town with canals, stone bridges and traditional houses. A walk through it in the first half of the day gives a calmer and more atmospheric impression.

  9. Day 9

The day begins with breakfast at the hotel and check-out. Then — transfer to the airport for departure home. This is the end of the journey.
