Beijing and Shanghai: 9-day sightseeing tour
Days: 9Flight included, chosen at booking
About the programme
This is a journey through China with two cities in the itinerary — Beijing and Shanghai. You will spend seven or eight nights, one of which is spent on the road: from Beijing to Shanghai you will travel on a night train in a compartment. The flight is included in the program. Accommodation is in fourth-category hotels, breakfasts are buffet-style, and lunches are provided in Chinese cuisine restaurants according to the program. A Russian-speaking guide and a bus accompany you on excursions and transfers.
The first days you will devote to Beijing: this is a leisurely introduction to the capital, where each day opens one big theme. You will see the main imperial and natural attractions, as well as modern Olympic venues. The rhythm of these days is measured, with lunches in suburban restaurants and returning to the hotel for rest.
Then you move to Shanghai on a night train — this is a separate adventure, a night on the road that saves a day for sightseeing the city. In Shanghai the pace changes: walks along the waterfront, a climb to the observation deck and an introduction to the history of the city await you. Here free time is provided, which can be devoted to additional excursions for an extra fee.
The trip ends with a flight home from Shanghai. The program is suitable for those who want to see two different Chinas — the ancient capital and the modern metropolis — without haste and with comfortable transfers. Tips to guides, drivers and porters at hotels are not included in the price.
