Beijing, Xi'an and Shanghai: 8-day sightseeing tour

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day 1

   Acquaintance with Beijing begins with the Temple of Heaven — a place where emperors for centuries talked with heaven about the harvest. Architecture and silence set the mood for the trip. After lunch — transfer to the hotel and rest.

2. Day 2

   This day is about scale and expanse. The Great Wall of China on a section without a cable car impresses with its scope, and the Summer Imperial Palace adds picturesque views of the summer residence of emperors to this. The day is rich, but measured.

3. Day 3

   Morning — at the Beijing Zoo, where the main attention is attracted by the Big Panda House. Then the Lamaist Monastery with its paintings and statues. Later — transfer to Xi'an on a night train, so the day feels like a transition between two worlds.

4. Day 4

   Xi'an greets with the Terracotta Army of Emperor Qin Shi Huang — a spectacle for which people come here from all over the world. The day is complemented by a ceramics factory and the Banpo Museum, where you can see how people lived thousands of years ago. The pace is calm, the day is about history.

5. Day 5

   The day begins with the Big Wild Goose Pagoda — without climbing, but with a sense of antiquity. Then the ancient city wall, one of the most preserved. Lunch — a dumpling banquet, and after it a night train to Shanghai.

6. Day 6

   Shanghai opens with the Jade Buddha Temple with its jade statues, and then a cruise along the Huangpu River: skyscrapers, the embankment and evening lights. The day is about water and light, a contrast with the previous cities.

7. Day 7

   The Garden of Joy Yu Garden surprises with passages in the walls and a dragon on one of them. And the Oriental Pearl TV Tower from a height shows all of Shanghai and the river. The final chord of the trip — the city from above.

8. Day 8

   Morning meal at the hotel, check-out from the room and the road to the airport. There are no excursions on this day — only packing and the way home.
