Baku, Gobustan, Ivanovka and Sheki: 7-day sightseeing tour

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day 1

   Day of arrival and group assembly: transfer to the hotel, check-in, free time. You can take your time — the city will wait. For those who want to start getting acquainted right away, for an additional fee they offer dinner at the Shirvanshah restaurant-museum with national cuisine and music or an excursion to the carpet museum. Both options are optional and for a separate fee.

2. Day 2

   City day: you go up to Highland Park, from where a panorama of Baku opens, then descend to the sea to the Seaside Boulevard. The second half is a walk through the old fortress Icherisheher with the Palace of the Shirvanshahs and the Maiden Tower, and the day ends on Nizami Street. This is the most intense walking day of the trip.

3. Day 3

   A trip out of the city: Gobustan Reserve with rock drawings and an interactive museum, then mud volcanoes, where you can touch the warm mud. The program also includes the Bibi-Heybat Mosque on the shore of Baku Bay and oil rigs. A day of contrasts between antiquity and nature.

4. Day 4

   One day is dedicated to the Heydar Aliyev Center — a building designed by Zaha Hadid with smooth lines and exhibitions about the country. The pace is calm: after the visit — return to the hotel and free time. Lunch at a national restaurant is possible for an additional fee.

5. Day 5

   The road to the northwest with stops: the village of Meysari, Shamakhi with the Juma Mosque and the Diri-Baba Mausoleum, then the Ismayilli District. The main impression is the settlement of Lahij with copper utensils and the atmosphere of the Silk Road, as well as the Russian village of Ivanovka with wooden izbas. You stay overnight in Sheki, at the Sheki Palace Hotel 5*. Lunch at a national restaurant — for an additional fee.

6. Day 6

   Morning in Sheki: a sightseeing tour with the Nukha Fortress, the Khan Mosque and the Palace of the Sheki Khans, whose windows of multicolored shebeke glass are especially good on a sunny day. Then the village of Kish with the first Christian church in the Caucasus, the Gelersen-Gorersen fortress and the Museum of Applied Arts. Return to Baku.

7. Day 7

   Free time until the transfer: you can go on your own to Yashil Bazar, to shopping centers or to Fountain Square. Late check-out is possible for an additional fee. Then transfer to the airport.
