Baku and Ateshgah: 4-day sightseeing tour

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day 1

   The day of arrival in Baku and check-in at the hotel. After the journey, free time remains, and this is a day of gathering the group. For an additional fee, you can visit the Shirvanshah restaurant-museum with national cuisine and music, as well as excursions to the Heydar Aliyev Center and the carpet museum. The pace of the day is calm: getting acquainted with the city begins not immediately, but with a pause.

2. Day 2

   The most packed day of the trip. First, an ascent to the Highland Park — from there a panorama of the city opens up, then a descent to the Seaside Boulevard along the Caspian Sea. In the second part, the walk goes into Icherisheher with the Palace of the Shirvanshahs and the Maiden Tower, and ends on Nizami Street, where buildings made of the local aglay stone are especially beautiful under the illumination. Return to the hotel and free time.

3. Day 3

   A day of going out of town, to the Ateshgah fire temple on the Absheron Peninsula, where natural gas comes out of the ground and spontaneous combustion occurs. Then — the Gala ethnographic reserve on the site of archaeological excavations, where ancient quarters have been preserved and you can see how daily life was arranged. The pace is measured, the impressions are of a different, not urban, Azerbaijan. Return to the hotel and free time.

4. Day 4

   Breakfast at the hotel and free time before departure. Late check-out is possible for an additional fee, and suitcases can be left at the hotel for a late flight. For independent walks, Yasyl Bazar with spices and souvenirs, the Park Boulevard and 28 Mall shopping centers, the Fountain Square on Nizami Street and the old city of Icherisheher are suitable. Then — a transfer to Heydar Aliyev International Airport and departure home.
