Tbilisi and Mtskheta: 4-day sightseeing tour

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day 1

Arrival at Tbilisi International Airport — and then transfer to the hotel. A day without excursions and without haste: only the road, check-in and a first acquaintance with the city. This is a starting point, not a packed program.

2. Day 2

The main impression of the day is the contrast between the antiquity of Mtskheta and the living fabric of old Tbilisi. First the Jvari Monastery on a hill with a view of the confluence of the Aragvi and Kura rivers, then the Svetitskhoveli Cathedral — both ancient and significant. After lunch — a walking tour of the old city: the observation deck of the Metekhi Cathedral, Rike Park and the Bridge of Peace, the Sulfur Baths. In an old cellar of Tbilisi — a tasting of wines that can be bought. For an additional fee — a boat ride on the Mtkvari River. A few more stops on Sharden Street, at the Gabriadze Puppet Theater and at the Orbeliani Bazaar, where you can eat at your own expense. Return to the hotel — on your own.

3. Day 3

A free day in Tbilisi — the time belongs to you. For an additional fee you can choose a trip to the Kazbegi mountains with lunch and a glass of chacha, which is possible in season, from March. Or an excursion to wine-making Kakheti with a tasting at the factory, Bodbe, Sighnaghi and the Tsvavchavadze estate in Tsinandali — also for an additional fee. Another option is a VIP excursion to the Castle of Rituals in Tbilisi, a private residence with a collection of cars of famous persons, also for an additional fee. The cost of transport and guide is specified at booking. Overnight in Tbilisi.

4. Day 4

Breakfast at the hotel, then check-out and departure of the group to the airport of the Georgian capital. A day without excursions — only the road home. A short farewell to the city, which during these days has already become familiar.
