Tbilisi, Sighnaghi, Mtskheta and Bakuriani: 7-day sightseeing tour

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day 1

   Arrival at Tbilisi airport, where a driver meets you, and a group transfer to the hotel. Check-in and free time without a mandatory program — one can simply look around after the road. Overnight in Tbilisi.

2. Day 2

   A day of wine and Kakheti: you go to the region where wine is poured straight from tanks into a glass. After the factory — Bodbe monastery, a place connected with Saint Nino, and the town of Sighnaghi, where you will stroll along the fortress wall and admire the Alazani Valley. At a local winemaker you will try chacha from melon and wines of different varieties, and on the way back there will be a stop at Manavi fortress for the sake of panoramic views. Overnight in Tbilisi.

3. Day 3

   A walking stroll through Tbilisi takes several hours and begins at the observation deck of Metekhi cathedral. Further — Rike Park, the Bridge of Peace and the Sulfur Baths, which are called the heart of the city. You will pass through Meidan Bazaar, an underground market where one can try and buy cheese and other Georgian products, as well as along Sharden street past the Gabriadze puppet theater to Orbeliani Square. You return back on your own, night in Tbilisi.

4. Day 4

   A journey through Mtskheta with stops at Jvari monastery on a hill and Svetitskhoveli cathedral — both places are included in the World Heritage list. After Mtskheta — Borjomi, where one can stroll through the park and drink water from the spring, lunch at this time is at your own expense. By the end of the day you ascend to Bakuriani, check in and rest. Overnight in Bakuriani.

5. Day 5

   A free day in the mountains: no mandatory excursions, only landscapes and active recreation of your choice. In winter during the season one can ski — from simple slopes for beginners to more difficult descents on Mount Kokhta, as well as snowboard, sledge or skate. Lifts, ski jumps and paragliding are also at your service, if you want variety. Overnight in Bakuriani.

6. Day 6

   The return to Tbilisi takes part of the day, but on the way there is an important stop — the Chronicle of Georgia monument by the Tbilisi Sea. It is called the "Georgian Stonehenge" because of its scale and similarity to the famous monument. You will see columns of bronze and copper with bas-reliefs and high reliefs. Overnight in Tbilisi.

7. Day 7

   Breakfast, check-out from the hotel and transfer to Tbilisi international airport. If your flight is later, luggage can be left at the hotel and wait for the driver. At this the trip concludes.
