Beijing: 9-day sightseeing tour
Days: 9Flight included, chosen at booking
About the programme
Eight days in Beijing are an immersion into imperial history and the modern rhythm of the Chinese capital. The program is structured so that the acquaintance with the city begins with its celestial symbolism, and then leads to great architectural monuments and unexpected contrasts. You will find not only famous sights, but also leisurely walks through old quarters, where time seems to slow down.
Each day is filled with excursions with a Russian-speaking guide, lunches in Chinese cuisine restaurants and free time. The rhythm of the trip allows alternating intense trips out of town with less strenuous days in the center. One of the days is entirely given to a huge amusement park — this is a rest for those who want to switch from history to attractions (transfer without a guide, ticket for an additional fee).
The route covers both the main symbols of Beijing — the Great Wall of China, the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, and less obvious places: a zoo with a panda house, a lamaist palace, parks and old alleys. For thrill-seekers, a trip to a gorge with a glass observation deck is provided, and alternatively — tian yun shan mountain or the Gubei water town (for an additional fee).
The trip is suitable for those who want to see China without haste, with hotels and well-thought-out logistics. The flight is included, as are most entrance tickets. This is a rich but balanced journey, where each day reveals a new facet of Beijing.
Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1
Arrival in Beijing, meeting with the guide and transfer to the hotel. After a rest — the first acquaintance with the city: Temple of Heaven (Tiantan) with lunch in a restaurant. For an additional fee, you can visit a Chinese circus or Peking opera. Return to the hotel.
Day 2
The main impression of the day is the Great Wall of China. After lunch in a country restaurant — the Summer Imperial Palace (Yiheyuan Park). On the way — an exterior view of the Olympic venues: the "Nest" and "Water Cube" stadiums. The day is intense, with long transfers.
Day 3
The morning begins at the zoo, where you can see the panda house. Then — the Lamaist Palace Yonghegong. Lunch in a Chinese cuisine restaurant. This day is calmer than the previous one, without trips out of town.
Day 4
The day is dedicated to the heart of Beijing: Tiananmen Square and the imperial Forbidden City palace (or an equivalent excursion). Then — Qingshan Park and Beihai Park. Lunch in a restaurant. A lot of walking and impressions from the scale of imperial architecture.
Day 5
A full day at UNIVERSAL. The road there and back is organized, but without a guide accompanying, and the ticket to the park will require separate payment. This is a day of rest from excursions, with the opportunity to choose attractions independently.
Day 6
A trip out of town: Shilinxia Gorge and the glass observation deck. Lunch in a country restaurant. Alternatives for an additional fee: tian yun shan mountain with a glass deck or the Gubei water town with a drone show. The day with the most picturesque views.
Day 7
A day of leisurely walks through the old quarters: narrow streets, shi cha hai park. Here too — the Drum and Bell Tower, from which a view of traditional Beijing opens. Lunch in a Chinese cuisine restaurant. This is an opportunity to feel the atmosphere of the old city.
Day 8
Breakfast at the hotel, check-out. Transfer to the airport. Flight home.
