About the programme

Eight days along the Aegean and Mediterranean coast of Turkey — from Bodrum to Izmir, with overnight stays in Marmaris, Fethiye, Antalya and Pamukkale. This is a trip for those who want to see the country from the water and from above: canals, lagoons, terraces, ancient cities. The rhythm is uneven — there are days of travel and days of contemplation.

The first half of the route is sea and greenery. You drive along the coast, stopping at Lake Bafa and in Akyaka, where the Azmak River is so clear that you can see the bottom. Marmaris and Fethiye set the tone: resort life, boats, embankments.

The middle of the trip is a change of scenery. Instead of turquoise — the white travertine terraces of Pamukkale and the ruins of Hierapolis, where people go for an additional fee. Here the day is built around antiquities and natural wonders, not beaches.

The finale is a return to the Aegean Sea through Ephesus and Bodrum. The ancient Library of Celsus, the House of the Virgin Mary, windmills — a contrast with the relaxed beginning of the route.

Overnight stays are in 4 stars hotels, breakfasts and dinners included. Lunches and additional excursions are for an additional fee. The guide is Russian-speaking, transfers between cities are included in the program.

Day-by-day itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Arrival in Bodrum, transfer to the hotel and free time — you can just rest after the journey or walk around the city on your own. Dinner is included. The guide will tell about the route at the end of the day.

  2. Day 2

    The main impression is Lake Bafa with views of the ruins of Heraclea. Optionally, for an additional fee, you can take a boat ride along the Dalyan canals and get to Iztuzu Beach, where sea turtles nest. By night you are in Marmaris — one of the liveliest resorts in the country.

  3. Day 3

    A measured day: transfer to Akyaka in the Gulf of Gökova, where the Azmak River impresses with the transparency of the water. Free time for a walk and coffee, lunch by the water — optionally. By the end of the day you are in Fethiye.

  4. Day 4

    The most "high-altitude" day: over the Blue Lagoon of Ölüdeniz you can fly a paraglider for an additional fee. A stop at Kaputaş Beach and, optionally for an additional fee, a cable car ascent to Mount Tahtalı. Then transfer to Antalya.

  5. Day 5

    An excursion to Pamukkale and Hierapolis — for an additional fee. Snow-white terraces and the ruins of the Temple of Apollo, along the way a tasting of local wine. Night in a hotel in Pamukkale.

  6. Day 6

    The village of Şirince with Greek architecture, wineries and artisan shops — the main stop. You will also look into the textile center of Denizli. By night you return to Izmir.

  7. Day 7

    Ephesus and the House of the Virgin Mary — for an additional fee. You will see the Library of Celsus and the ancient amphitheater. After lunch — transfer to Bodrum, a panoramic tour of the castle, the marina and the windmills.

  8. Day 8

    Transfer to the airport depending on the departure time and return home.
