About the programme

This is a journey through western and southern Turkey, where days follow one another along with the coastline: from the Aegean coast to the Mediterranean Sea and back. The rhythm of the trip is moving between cities, each night in a new hotel, so suitcases are packed often, and the views outside the window keep changing. The route passes through Izmir, Bodrum, Marmaris, Fethiye, Antalya and Pamukkale.

Most of the excursions and additional activities are for an extra fee, so the cost of the trip consists not only of the base program: you can take them optionally, or you can simply walk and relax. Lunches are not included, but breakfasts and dinners at the hotels await every day — except for arrival without breakfast and departure without dinner.

The trip is for those who like to combine ancient cities with resort relaxation, are ready for long scenic drives and want to see different shores of Turkey in one trip. The flight is not included, transfers and drives between cities are included.

The days differ in pace: some are filled with antiquity and panoramas, others leave more free time for walks and coffee by the water. At the same time, every stop has something in common — an evening meal and a night in a new city, setting a calm rhythm for the journey.

Day-by-day itinerary

  1. Day 1

    The acquaintance begins in Izmir: meeting at the airport and transfer to the hotel, after check-in — free time to rest or take a walk around the city on your own. Closer to the end of the day a welcome drink will be served, and the guide will share the plans of the trip. Dinner is included, night in Izmir.

  2. Day 2

    The main impression of the day is ancient Ephesus, where the Library of Celsus, the amphitheater and temple complexes have been preserved, as well as the House of the Virgin Mary. The excursion is for an additional fee. After lunch — a drive to Bodrum, where a panoramic excursion reveals Bodrum Castle, the marina and the windmills. Night in Bodrum, dinner is included.

  3. Day 3

    The road along the coast with a stop at Lake Bafa, from where the ruins of Heraclea are visible. Optionally and for an extra fee — a boat trip along the Dalyan canals and a visit to Iztuzu Beach, a sea turtle reserve. The finale of the day is arrival in Marmaris. Night in Marmaris, dinner is included.

  4. Day 4

    This is a day of calm water and greenery: the road leads to Akyaka, which is in the Gulf of Gökova, to the Azmak River with clear emerald water. Here you can take a leisurely walk, take photos or drink coffee, and if you wish — have lunch at a restaurant by the water at your own expense. Then — a drive along the coast to Fethiye, and again a night in a new city with dinner.

  5. Day 5

    A day of bright views: for lovers of impressions, a paragliding flight over the Blue Lagoon of Ölüdeniz is offered — for an additional fee. A stop at Kaputaş Beach, and optionally and for an extra fee — a cable car ascent to Mount Tahtalı with a panorama of the coast. Then a drive to Antalya. Night in Antalya, dinner is included.

  6. Day 6

    After breakfast and a visit to a leather goods shop — a walk through the old town of Kaleiçi. Then the way to Denizli and the ruins of Hierapolis on the limestone terraces, where the ruins of the Temple of Apollo have been preserved. The excursion is for an additional fee; along the way — a wine tasting of local production for an extra fee. Night at a hotel in Pamukkale, dinner is included.

  7. Day 7

    A day of crafts and cozy streets: a visit to the textile center of Denizli, known for quality products, and a walk through the village of Şirince with Greek architecture, wineries and craft shops. Then return to Izmir. Night in Izmir, dinner is included.

  8. Day 8

    Departure day: a comfortable bus will take you to the airport depending on the flight time. Return home.
