Hanoi, Da Nang, Hue and Ho Chi Minh City: 14-day sightseeing tour

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day 1

   Arrival in Hanoi on a daytime flight: at the airport you are met by an assistant and a guide, then a transfer to the hotel. After a long flight — rest. Closer to the end of the day, if arrival time allows, a walking tour of the old quarters of the city. Evening meal and night at the hotel.

2. Day 2

   The main impression of the day is a sightseeing tour of Hanoi: the Temple of Literature, Ba Dinh Square, the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the pagodas on West Lake and at Hoan Kiem Lake with the Ngoc Son Temple and the wooden bridge. After lunch and rest — a rickshaw ride through the historic center. Closer to the end of the day you can look into Dong Xuan Market and see St. Joseph's Church. Night at the hotel.

3. Day 3

   The day goes to nature and history: a transfer to Ninh Binh province and a boat trip from the Trang An pier through a system of caves and underground lakes — with stalactites and stalagmites that formed over millions of years. After lunch — a visit to Hoa Lu, the ancient capital. Return to Hanoi, night at the hotel.

4. Day 4

   This is a day of sea and rocks: a transfer to Halong Bay, boarding a cruise ship, accommodation in cabins and departure into the bay. Lunch with seafood on board, then — the Dark and Bright caves with an inner lake. Night on the ship, in the cabin. On the cruise you are fed three times: breakfast, lunch and dinner.

5. Day 5

   Morning on board: you can join tai chi gymnastics on the upper deck, then a light breakfast. Next — a kayak trip around Tra Bau Bay among rocks of bizarre shapes. After lunch, when the cabins have already been checked out and the cruise is over, — return to Hanoi and a transfer to the airport for a flight to Da Nang. In Da Nang, a meeting with the guide, a transfer to the hotel and accommodation.

6. Day 6

   The day begins at the Marble Mountains with caves, temples and pagodas inside, and at the foot — Non Nuoc village with stone carvers. After lunch — the statue of the goddess Quan Am 67 meters high and Linh Ung Pagoda with an observation deck. Then a transfer to Hue with a stop at the Hai Van Pass. Return to the hotel.

7. Day 7

   A trip to My Son — a complex of ancient religious structures in the jungle, recognized as part of the World Cultural Heritage. After lunch — Hoi An: an ancient port with a Japanese covered bridge, Phuc Kien Temple and houses of Chinese merchants. Return to the hotel in Da Nang.

8. Day 8

   A day of mountains and cable cars: ascent to Ba Na Hills to an amusement park, pagodas and a Buddha statue. The main impression — the Golden Bridge with huge hands supporting a gilded semicircle. After lunch — free time and a transfer to Hue. Night at a hotel in Hue.

9. Day 9

   A sightseeing trip around Hue: the Imperial Citadel with a library, theater, museum of emperors and temples. According to the program — a visit to two tombs, Tu Duc and Khai Dinh, and Thien Mu Pagoda. Free time for a walk along the embankment of the Perfume River. After lunch — rest. Overnight at a hotel in Hue.

10. Day 10

    A transfer to Da Lat — a city at an altitude of 1500 meters, with cool air and greenery of parks. Here you will see Datanla Waterfall, Truc Lam Pagoda, where you get acquainted with the life of Buddhist monks, and the Crazy House. The program also includes a silk painting factory. Lunch. Night at a hotel in Da Lat.

11. Day 11

    A day in Da Lat: the Botanical Garden of flowers with a photo stop at the Lake of Love, then Linh Phuoc Pagoda with mosaic decoration. After lunch — the clay museum and the XQ silk gallery, where craftswomen embroider complex paintings with silk thread. Night at a hotel in Da Lat.

12. Day 12

    After breakfast you check out of the room and fly to Ho Chi Minh City. There you check into a hotel. Night in Ho Chi Minh City.

13. Day 13

    A day in the Mekong Delta: a transfer to My Tho with a stop at the Dong Tam snake farm. Next — a boat along the Tien River, Con Phung islet and a traditional Vietnamese lunch. Continuation along the river through quiet villages to Ben Tre, a visit to agro-farms where you are treated to honey and honey wine, as well as tropical fruits; here you also listen to traditional music and watch how coconut caramel is cooked. Night at a hotel in Ho Chi Minh City.

14. Day 14

    A sightseeing tour of the old colonial quarter of Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Khoi Street: the Opera House, the City Hall building, Notre-Dame Cathedral, the Central Post Office and the Independence Palace. In the afternoon — lunch. Then time remains for shopping, and a transfer to the airport for a flight home.
