About the programme

This is a journey through Vietnam, where the north of the country with its limestone landscapes and ancient capitals gives way to the coast of Nha Trang. The route begins in Hanoi, goes through Ninh Binh and Halong Bay, and ends with a long rest in the south. Two weeks are divided into two parts: a rich excursion program with transfers and an overnight stay on a cruise ship, and then calm days by the sea.

The rhythm of the first half of the trip is set by roads and water. You move between provinces by car, get on boats and kayaks, spend the night on a ship among the rocks. This is unhurried but constant movement: every day brings a new point on the map and a new way to look at the landscape — from the pier, from the deck, from the water.

The second part sharply changes the pace. After the flight to Nha Trang, the program becomes extremely simple: breakfast, beach, free time. Here you can not follow the schedule and just rest as much as you want.

The trip will suit those who want to see the contrast between northern Vietnam with its caves and bays and the resort coast, as well as those who appreciate the combination of active days with full-fledged beach holidays. The international flight is not included in the program, domestic air tickets along the route are included.

Day-by-day itinerary

  1. Day 1

Arrival in Hanoi and first contact with the country. After the meeting at the airport and the transfer to the hotel, you will have accommodation and rest. Depending on the time of arrival, a walking tour of the old quarters is possible, where narrow streets and colonial architecture set the mood of the city. The day ends with dinner.

  2. Day 2

The main impression of the day is a boat trip along Trang An among connected caves and underground lakes. The boat goes through darkness and light, past stalactites and stalagmites, and it feels like a journey in another dimension. After lunch — a visit to Hoa Lu, the ancient capital associated with the first Vietnamese dynasties. Return to Hanoi and a night at the hotel.

  3. Day 3

The day is dedicated to Halong Bay and the cruise. After the transfer, you board the ship, settle into the cabin and set off along the bay, a UNESCO world heritage site. Lunch with fresh seafood takes place on board, and then the ship enters Lan Ha Bay. A visit to the Dark and Bright caves with an inner lake completes the picture. Night on the ship.

  4. Day 4

Morning on the deck: you can join a tai chi gymnastics lesson, then a light breakfast in the restaurant. After that — a kayak trip along Tra Bau bay, where the rocks take bizarre shapes. After lunch and check-out of the cabins, the cruise ends, and you return to Hanoi to go to the airport and fly to Nha Trang. Transfer to the hotel, free time.

  5. Day 5–13

Days from the fifth to the thirteenth are spent in Nha Trang. This is a measured beach holidays: breakfasts at the hotel, free time, sea and sun. No transfers or excursions — only you and the coast. Such a rhythm allows you to completely switch off after the rich first half of the trip.

  6. Day 14

The final day: after breakfast, check-out and flight to Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City for the onward flight home. The international flight is not included in the program. The trip ends, leaving impressions of the contrasts of Vietnam.
