About the programme

Fourteen days in Vietnam — from northern limestone landscapes to southern deltas and the metropolis. The route brings together different sides of the country: old Hanoi with its quarters, Ninh Binh province with its rocks and water, Halong Bay, then a long southern stretch — Nha Trang, Da Lat, Mui Ne and Ho Chi Minh City. The rhythm is uneven: first many transfers and impressions, then calm beach pauses appear, and closer to the finale the city program becomes dense again. Between the north and the south — a flight on domestic airlines according to the program.

The northern part is water and stone. You sail through a system of connected caves and underground lakes, board a cruise ship, go kayaking among the rocks. You spend the night in a cabin of the cruise ship.

The central part begins with thermal springs and mud baths, then leads to waterfalls and to mountainous Da Lat — a city at altitude where the air is noticeably cooler and where there is a lot of greenery. Here the pace slows down, free beach days appear in Nha Trang and Mui Ne.

The finale — Ho Chi Minh City with its colonial architecture, museums and market, as well as a trip to the Mekong Delta. The last day ends with a traditional dinner and a transfer to the airport — a flight home awaits you. The international flight is not included in the price, domestic air tickets according to the program are included. Accommodation — 3+-4 tourist class hotels and one night on board the ship; meals mainly breakfasts and lunches, two dinners, on the cruise — lunch and dinner.

Day-by-day itinerary

  1. Day 1

Arrival in Hanoi on a daytime flight: in the arrival hall an assistant meets you, who takes you through visa and border procedures, then a guide and a transfer to the hotel. Accommodation and rest after a long journey. If arrival time allows — a walking tour of the old quarters, then dinner. The day gently introduces the trip without long transfers.

  2. Day 2

The main impression is a boat trip from the Trang An pier through a system of connected caves and underground lakes; the landscape around resembles northern bays. Along the way you pass caves with different names, they are decorated with stalactites and stalagmites. After lunch — a visit to Hoa Lu, the former capital of the first centralized state on the territory of Vietnam. The road to Ninh Binh province takes about two hours by car, and at the end of the day you return to Hanoi.

  3. Day 3

After breakfast — a transfer to Halong Bay, about two hours, then boarding the cruise ship and accommodation in cabins. The ship goes through the bay, you have lunch with fresh seafood on board. A visit to the Dark and Bright caves with an inner lake. Towards evening the ship moves to Lan Ha Bay, where a night landscape of water and rocks opens up. You spend the night on the ship, in a comfortable cabin.

  4. Day 4

The morning begins on the upper deck: those who wish can join a tai chi gymnastics lesson, then a light breakfast in the ship's restaurant. Next — a boat trip on kayaks through Tra Bau Bay, surrounded by rocks of fancy shapes. After lunch and the end of the cruise — return to Hanoi and a transfer to the airport for a flight to Nha Trang. In Nha Trang a meeting with the guide, a transfer to the hotel and accommodation.

  5. Day 5

The day is dedicated to warmth and water: you go to the Thap Ba thermal springs. You take mud baths, swim in a pool with hot mineral water from the depths and have a hydromassage. Lunch and rest in nature. An additional foot and body massage — optionally and for an extra fee. And on the way back a temple of the Cham people awaits you — it was built in the seventh century. Then return to the hotel.

  6. Day 6

A trip to the western part of Khanh Hoa province — a day about nature and living creatures. The scenic road opens up Nha Trang, banana and pineapple plantations, settlements of small ethnic groups. At the crocodile farm you can feed the crocodiles with meat from a bamboo fishing rod, nearby — products made of reptile and ostrich leather, and also Asian bears. Further — two waterfalls, whose names sound like "Heavenly Apple" and "Night Caprice": under the streams you can swim and rest on sun loungers in the shade. Then a Vietnamese lunch and return to the hotel.

  7. Day 7

A day without excursions: free time for rest on the beach of Nha Trang. At the hotel breakfast awaits you. The pause is needed after the intense previous days — you can simply switch to the sea and not hurry anywhere.

  8. Day 8

After breakfast — a transfer to Da Lat, a city that is called the city of flowers and a little Paris; it is located at altitude and is famous for fresh air and an abundance of greenery. You will see Datanla waterfall, get acquainted with the life of Buddhist monks on the territory of Truc Lam pagoda and visit the Crazy House (Aunt Nga's), whose architecture strikes the imagination. In the city, known for wines and liqueurs, tea and coffee, there will be time to buy something, as well as to visit a silk painting factory. Lunch and a night in a hotel in Da Lat.

  9. Day 9

Another day in Da Lat, and it is more about parks and water. After breakfast — the Botanical Garden of flowers with a photo stop at the lake of love in the center of the city, then a visit to Linh Phuoc pagoda with mosaic decoration. The Pongour waterfall will be impressive: streams of water fall from a height of about forty meters and spread over stone terraces. Lunch, free time and an overnight stay in Da Lat.

  10. Day 10

After breakfast you check out of the room and leave for Mui Ne — the road by car takes about three and a half hours. On the spot accommodation and rest at your discretion await you. Thus the mountain chapter of the trip ends and the sea one begins.

  11. Day 11

Breakfast at the hotel, then — free time and rest on the beach. The day is fully yours: without transfers and excursions, only the sea and a measured rhythm.

  12. Day 12

After breakfast — check-out of the room and a transfer to Ho Chi Minh City, the road takes about three and a half hours. On arrival — accommodation in a hotel and a night in Ho Chi Minh City. The day is mostly a travel day, but you move to the final part of the route.

  13. Day 13

A separate day is dedicated to the Mekong Delta. This is a departure from Ho Chi Minh City towards the big water and green shores, where you can feel a different rhythm of life than in the city. The details of the program of this day are not described — an acquaintance with the delta accompanied by a guide awaits you.

  14. Day 14

After breakfast — a sightseeing tour of the old colonial quarter and the famous Saigon street Dong Khoi: the Opera House, the municipality building, Notre Dame Cathedral, the Central Post Office and the Independence Palace. Lunch, then the War Museum, Ngoc Hoang pagoda, Chinatown and Ben Thanh market. Free time, a traditional dinner and a transfer to the airport for a flight home.
