About the programme

Eight days across the south of Vietnam: first a big city, then cool mountains, and at the end — sea and sand. The trip is put together so that the rhythm keeps changing: after the city bustle and boats on the delta you go up to Da Lat, where the air is different, and then descend to the beaches of Mui Ne. The international flight is not included — tourists get to Ho Chi Minh City on their own, while within the route flights between cities are provided by the program.

The first two days are about water and greenery. Ho Chi Minh City gives a first acquaintance with the country, and the trip to the Mekong Delta turns the day into a slow glide along the river between trees and village banks. This is the most "people and daily life" part of the journey: boats, farms, music, food.

Da Lat is a different story. The city lies at an altitude, it is cool here, with lots of greenery, gardens and water: waterfalls, pagodas, flowers. Two days in the mountains give both rich excursions and a calm pace with lunch and free time. For those who like not only the beach but also a change of scenery, this part of the trip will be especially pleasing.

The final part is Mui Ne. After the transfer from Da Lat, a holiday by the sea begins: dunes, palms, calm water and the chance to simply do nothing. Here the trip slows down to the limit, and this is a good contrast with the previous days.

The last day is the way back: from Mui Ne to Ho Chi Minh City airport and the flight home.

Day-by-day itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Arrival in Ho Chi Minh City is the day when you are just entering the country: at the airport you are met and helped through border formalities, then a transfer to the hotel and rest after the journey. If circumstances are favorable, the first acquaintance with the city along Dong Khoi Street awaits you. Dinner and a night at the hotel.

  2. Day 2

    The main thing on this day is water. After breakfast, the road to My Tho, on the way a stop at the Dong Tam snake farm, and further — a boat along the Tien River, which is part of the Mekong. You will get to Con Phung islet, where a traditional Vietnamese lunch awaits, and then you will again sail along the river through villages to Ben Tre: you will be introduced to the local economy and treated to honey, honey wine and fruit, shown traditional music and the production of coconut candy. On the way back — a stop at a restaurant in My Tho, where you can have dinner optionally and for an extra charge. Night in Ho Chi Minh City.

  3. Day 3

    A day of transfer to the mountains: after breakfast and check-out from the hotel — a flight to Da Lat, a city that is called little Paris. Here you will see Datanla Waterfall, Truc Lam Pagoda, where you can learn about the life of Buddhist monks, and the Crazy House in the shape of a tree. Another stop of the day is a workshop where local craftswomen embroider pictures on silk; such works can be purchased here. There will also be time to take with you wine, liqueurs, tea and coffee. Lunch and a night in Da Lat.

  4. Day 4

    This day is about gardens, temples and water, but without transfers. After breakfast, the Da Lat Flower Botanical Garden awaits you, and on the way — a stop at the Lake of Love in the very center of the city to take shots. Then Linh Phuoc Pagoda with its mosaic. The main impression of the day is Pongour Waterfall: the water falls from a height of about 40 meters and spreads over the stone ledges. Lunch, free time and an overnight stay in Da Lat.

  5. Day 5

    The road leads to the sea. After breakfast you check out and go to Mui Ne — 3–3.5 hours on the way. This resort town is known as Phan Thiet: a quiet place among sand dunes and coconut palms, where you can swim and sunbathe all year round, and surfing is also popular here. Accommodation at the hotel and free time.

  6. Day 6–7

    Two days in Mui Ne are a pause after the rich first half of the trip. Breakfast at the hotel, free time, rest on the beach: no transfers and no excursions, only sea and sand.

  7. Day 8

    After breakfast you check out and set off for Ho Chi Minh City airport to fly home. This is a day of travel: the flight and departure.
