About the programme

This trip is arranged as two very different chapters. First you fly to Ho Chi Minh City and almost immediately move on to Da Nang to spend the main part of your time there: the sea, a hotel on bed and breakfast, the measured rhythm of the coast. Da Nang becomes the base — from here you will return after busy outings and go back into the silence of the beach.

During the seaside holiday three full sightseeing days are planned — they are included in the program optionally and take place in agreement with the receiving party. One of them is an introduction to Da Nang itself: marble rocks hiding caves with temples and statues inside, a village of stone carvers, and then a tall statue of the goddess and a pagoda with an observation deck over the bay. Another day is a climb by cable car to Ba Na mountain and a walk along a bridge of unusual shape held by two huge hands.

The third outing leads further — to My Son and to Hoi An, where you will walk through old quarters with a Japanese bridge-temple, merchants' houses and Phuc Kien temple. This is already a completely different texture: not nature and parks, but a slow walk along streets soaked in history.

After Da Nang the route turns south: a flight to Ho Chi Minh City and two days unlike the beach ones. One is given to the Mekong Delta — boats, quiet villages along the Tien River, farms, honey, fruit, local music and coconut caramel. The second — to Ho Chi Minh City itself: a museum, a pagoda, Chinatown, a market and an evening return to the city already from the water, over dinner on board. The trip will suit those who want to combine a calm holiday by the sea with several long and very different outings — but without haste and without a daily change of hotels within the beach part.

Day-by-day itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Arrival in Ho Chi Minh City, and immediately — an independent transfer to a flight to Da Nang. At the airport you are met, taken to the hotel and checked in. Then — only rest after the long journey and the first night on the coast.

  2. Day 2–9

    The main part of the trip — calm days in Da Nang: breakfasts at the hotel, the sea and free time that can be spent on the beach or shopping. You set the rhythm yourself. On one of these days, in agreement with the receiving party and optionally, three full excursions take place. The first — a sightseeing tour of Da Nang: marble rocks with caves and temples inside, Non Nuoc village with stone carvers, the statue of the goddess Quan Am and Linh Ung pagoda with an observation deck over the bay. The second — Ba Na mountain: a climb by cable car, an amusement park, pagodas, a Buddha statue and a gilded bridge with hands of stone. The third — an outing to My Son and to Hoi An with its old quarters, a Japanese bridge-temple, Phuc Kien temple and merchants' houses.

  3. Day 10

    Transfer to another part of the route: after breakfast you check out of the room and go to Da Nang airport for a flight to Ho Chi Minh City, already without a guide. On site — a transfer and check-in at the hotel. The day is transitional, calm: the city meets you, but its program does not begin yet.

  4. Day 11

    The day goes to water and greenery: on the way — the Dong Tam snake farm, then a transfer to a boat and a journey along the Tien River. You have lunch on Con Phung islet, sail past quiet villages to Ben Tre. Among the stops — agricultural farms with tasting of honey, honey wine and tropical fruits, local music and the production of coconut caramel. You return home to the hotel, and free time remains for dinner at your own expense and a walk around the city.

  5. Day 12

    The most urban day of the trip, with lunch in the program. After it — the War Museum, Ngoc Hoang pagoda, Chinatown and Ben Thanh market. The remaining time is given to shopping. In conclusion — an evening cruise along Saigon with dinner on board, and a night in Ho Chi Minh City.

  6. Day 13

    The morning begins with breakfast, then — a flight home. A day without excursions and transfers along the route: only packing and the road.
