About the programme

This trip is about a change of rhythm: first a long retreat by the sea, then a return to the city, and at the end — a packed day in Ho Chi Minh City and an evening on the water. The main time is given to the resort of Mui Ne and Phan Thiet, where the day owes nothing to a schedule: breakfast, sea, rest. It is here, on one of the rest days, that one of three excursion options will be offered to choose from — a sightseeing trip to the Fairy Stream and the White Dunes, a trip to the reclining Buddha on Ta Cu Mountain, or a trip to the city of Da Lat. Which option to choose and on which day it will take place, tourists will find out when receiving documents before the trip.

The second half of the trip is about water and the city. Somewhere around the tenth day the route shifts from Mui Ne to Ho Chi Minh City, and the sea is left behind. From there the Mekong Delta begins: a transfer to My Tho, a stop at the Dong Tam snake farm, then a boat along the Tien River. The day holds on the water and on the islets — lunch on Con Phung, quiet villages on the way to Ben Tre, agro-farms with honey and fruit, local music and coconut candy production. Dinner and a walk around the city here are already on your own.

The next day is the most packed with impressions and the only one where everything is scheduled: the Colonial Quarter and Dong Khoi Street, the Opera House, Notre Dame Cathedral, the central Post Office, the Independence Palace, the War Museum, the Ngoc Hoang Pagoda, Chinatown and Ben Thanh Market. Lunch is included in the program, and the day ends with an evening cruise along Saigon with dinner.

The trip is designed for those who want to spend the main time by the sea, and to see the country in short but packed outings. The international flight is not included, additional excursions at the sea and any additional service — for an extra charge, insurance against non-departure — optional.

Day-by-day itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Arrival in Ho Chi Minh City — and immediately a transfer to Mui Ne, the road takes about two and a half to three hours. The transfer goes without a guide. At the hotel, accommodation and rest, the first night passes in Mui Ne. This day is only the road and a retreat, nothing more.

  2. Day 2–9

    The main part of the trip is a rest by the sea in Mui Ne and Phan Thiet, and the rhythm here is set by the resort itself: breakfast at the hotel, then free time. On one of the rest days three excursion options will be offered to choose from: to the Fairy Stream and the White Dunes, to the reclining Buddha on Ta Cu Mountain, or for a whole day to the city of Da Lat with lunch. The first two are half a day and room only. The day of each option tourists will find out when receiving documents before the trip.

  3. Day 10

    After breakfast the room is vacated, and the route leaves Mui Ne for Ho Chi Minh City — a transfer without a guide. In the city, accommodation at the hotel and a night. Of meals only breakfast, so the day passes on the road and in the transfer, and not in walks.

  4. Day 11

    The main impression of the day is water: after breakfast a transfer to My Tho, on the way a stop at the Dong Tam snake farm, and then a transfer to a boat and a journey along the Tien River. On the way the islet of Con Phung with a traditional Vietnamese lunch, then the boat goes through quiet villages to Ben Tre. A few more stops at agro-farms: tasting of honey, honey wine and tropical fruits, acquaintance with traditional music and coconut candy production. Return to the hotel, and free time remains for dinner and a walk around Ho Chi Minh City.

  5. Day 12

    The most packed day of the trip — a sightseeing tour of Ho Chi Minh City, it begins right from the hotel after breakfast. The Colonial Quarter and a walk along Dong Khoi Street, the Opera House, Notre Dame Cathedral, the central Post Office and the Independence Palace; lunch is included. In the second half of the day — the War Museum, the Ngoc Hoang Pagoda, Chinatown and Ben Thanh Market, then free time for shopping. The day ends with an evening cruise along Saigon with dinner, and this is the only day of the program with dinner.

  6. Day 13

    After an early breakfast the room is vacated, and the departure to Ho Chi Minh City airport begins without a guide — then the flight home. This is a day only for packing and the road.
