Nha Trang, Da Lat and Ho Chi Minh City: 14-day sightseeing tour

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day 1

   Arrival in Nha Trang, meeting with the guide and the road to the hotel. After a long flight the day passes calmly: accommodation and rest. This is the only day without excursions and without a busy program.

2. Day 2

   First acquaintance with Nha Trang: the Institute of Oceanology with its research work, the villa of Emperor Bao Dai, the Catholic cathedral and the tropical fruit market. A city day with lunch in a restaurant, the pace is moderate, many stops in a row. Night in Nha Trang.

3. Day 3–4

   Two days in a row are given to the sea: breakfast at the hotel, free time and the beach. No transfers and excursions, only rest. This is the calmest part of the trip before the next outing.

4. Day 5

   A trip towards the waterfalls: on the way you pass by banana and pineapple farms, as well as places where the small ethnic groups of Vietnam live. At the crocodile farm you can feed the reptiles from a bamboo fishing rod and look at Asian bears. The main impression is the waterfalls themselves, where you can swim under the streams, and after lunch fried crocodile and ostrich meat is served.

5. Day 6–7

   Again two days on the beach: breakfast, free time, the sea. No obligatory points — only rest in Nha Trang. The same unhurried rhythm as on the previous sea days.

6. Day 8

   A sea cruise around three islands with swimming, tasting of dry wine and tropical fruits. On Mot Island they offer rides on a jet ski or canoe, and beach volleyball — entrance and sun loungers are paid separately. Another stop is the Tri Nguyen Aquarium and rest on Con Se Tre Island. The day passes on the water and among beaches.

7. Day 9

   Another day without a program: breakfast, free time and the beach. This is a breather before the transfer to the mountains. Night in Nha Trang.

8. Day 10

   After breakfast — transfer to Da Lat, a city in the mountains at an altitude of 1500 meters, with cool air and many parks and gardens. On the way the Datanla waterfall, the Truc Lam pagoda, where the life of Buddhist monks can be seen, and the Crazy House of Aunt Nga in the shape of a tree. Another stop is a silk painting factory, where you can buy hand-made embroidered landscapes.

9. Day 11

   Morning in Da Lat: the Flower Garden and the Lake of Love in the city center. Then the Linh Phuoc pagoda with mosaic on the buildings and the Pongour waterfall, where the water falls from a height of about 40 meters and spreads over stone terraces. After lunch — a flight to Ho Chi Minh City, meeting and accommodation at the hotel.

10. Day 12

    The road to the Mekong Delta begins with the Dong Tam snake farm. Then — a boat along the Tien River, a stop on Con Phung islet with a traditional Vietnamese lunch and continuation of the way through quiet villages to Ben Tre. On the agro-farms they try natural honey and honey wine, listen to traditional music and watch how coconut caramel is made. The day passes on the water and in the villages, the pace is measured.

11. Day 13

    A sightseeing tour of Ho Chi Minh City: Dong Khoi Street, the Opera House, Notre Dame Cathedral, the Central Post Office and the Independence Palace. After lunch — the War Remnants Museum, the Thien Hau pagoda, Chinatown and the Ben Thanh market. In the evening — a boat trip along Saigon with dinner on a boat. The busiest day of the trip, urban and noisy.

12. Day 14

    The room must be vacated, then transfer to the airport, the guide does not accompany you on this day — departure home. Breakfast at the hotel, if desired you can order a lunch box. The day passes in packing and on the road.
