Went to Tabu because I needed exactly a winter visa run to renew my work visa in Kazakhstan, and here there's a direct flight and quick processing. Took a tour at the agency, everything went smoothly, they gave a hotel right at the border with Israel, the admin at the front desk turned out to be understanding, helped with extending the registration a couple hours before the flight back, so overall I was happy with the trip.

Went to Tabu, overall liked it, the hotel is decent, the food is alright, though on the first day my stomach was a bit off. The sea — that's what's worth going there for, but the bus to the beach runs on a shcedule that nobody follows.

I twisted and turned this trip every way I could, because vacation is short, I wanted both the sea and not to break the bank, and in the end I flew there because of cheap dates in July. And you know, I was happy as can be: the water is clear, the heat is bearable, the hotel staff don't hover over you, and in the coralls by the shore I found such a tiny blue fish that I just sat in the water and watched until my back got sunburned.

We went to Tabu because we wanted to combine the sea and not have crowds like in Hurghada. We took a package at the agency, the girl there turned out to be savvy - she laid everything out on the shelves, though I picked the hotel myself and then doubted for a week. In the end I was happy with everything, the water is crystal clear, few people, the staff at the hotel is friendly, the only thing - wi-fi in the room caught poorly, but that's nothing compared to what we saw there.

Liked that the guide didn't load us with shops and offered excursions in a human way without pressure. The only thing, the bus from the hotel ran rarely, I had to walk to the beach

The corals near the shore are alive, fish right at your feet, i squealed in my mask.. I overpaid for the reef excursion, though you could swim there yourselves. On the bus the AC didn't work and i was pouring water from a bottle over myself. The staff smiles, but towels were changed every other day — i cursed to myself. In the evening there's wind, no mosquitoes, i sat on the balcony and listened to the waves. The sun burned so hard my back peeled off in the first two hours, it's my own fault. the trip turned out calm, no stress, that's what i took the tour at the agency for i can recommend

Well I quickly stopped noticing the wall, the sea is right there, about seven minutes on foot if you don't drag your feet. The beach — sand, good entry, sunbeds are paid on the hotel grounds but free across the way, but there locals sell all sorts of crap and pester you, got tired of it honestly. The food was decent, not a michelin restaurant of course, but I never went hungry, but the coffee at the pool bar - that's just instant garbage, yuck. Dropped my phone in the sand on the first day, spent a couple hours cleaning the speaker with a toothpick, fun time I must say) in the evening we went to the promenade, there's hookah and tea, music not loud, that really hit the spot. Didn't go on the excursion to Ras Abu Galum, because I was too lazy to get up at six in the morning, and never regretted it honestly. Four stars out of five — deducted for that very view from the room and the coffee, but otherwise wouldn't mind coming back

The manager sorted everything out fast - three days and visa and hotel and transfer, just sent it to my email, i didn't even call once, though usually all that paperwork pisses me off..... upon arrival i immediately realized the hotel wasn't quite the one in the photos. well not that it's bad, just a bit old, the lounger by the pool was wobbly, i kept putting a stone under the leg. food is ok but monotonous by the fourth day i didn't want to look at those flatbreads and hummus anymore. the people there are very friendly, i even fished with one local in the evening from the pier. snorkeling is top - saw a huge moray eel, almost screamed into the tube) overall happy, would come back again just probably to a different hotel.

we took this trip with my husband purely because of the diving, also we have a friend who's been diving for five years already and talked our ears off about the Red Sea, so we decided to go for it too. I was choosing for a long time, called like five agencies... everywhere they say the same thing, but here it somehow hooked me right away — not even by the prices but by the fact that the girl on the phone didn't start pushing a more expensive hotel on me, she asked how much we were going to dive and how much just lie around. We arrived, the hotel is normal, not amazing of course but it does its job. These boats go to Taba almost every day, and when you go under the water for the first time - it takes your breath away, I almost spat out my regulator from delight, even though before that I'd only tried in a pool. my husband actually wanted to stay on the shore, and then got so into it that I had to talk him out of going on a second dive because my ears hurt terribly. The instructor we got was calm, explained everything slowly in Russian, pointed with his hands at this fish - a lionfish I think - I almost grabbed it from joy, good thing he stopped me in time)) The weather was great all September, we swam until dark, in the evening we ate this flatbread of theirs with garlic, I keep forgetting the name. I paid for everything in advance, no extra charges on arrival happened, that really pleased me. I'd come back again, only with my own mask, because the rental one kept fogging up.

The windbreaker came in handy, in the evenings it blew so hard my teeth were chattering, and during the day it was scorching mercilessly, and this contrast for some reason annoyed me for the first two days. I came back tanned, with shells in my suitcase and a slight regret that I didn't take the tour to the Mountains of Moses... but 5 out of 5, because I haven't seen such calm sea in a long time.
