Holidays in Milan (Italy): tours from Almaty

the trip to Milan turned out kind of double, i guess. the hotel was okay, the ac hummed all night and that's not a complaint, i just slept under it like under a fan. at breakfast the croissants were dry, but the espresso was strong — after it i walked around the city till about two all perked up. in the cathedral i went down to the baptistery, it's damp there and smells of stone, but at least it's finally clear how all of it was built.. bought a leather belt in an alley from some guy, tried it on at home — seems fine. i'd come back again, probably.

Milan is something else, of course. Walked around the center, stared at everything. The cathedral is huge, even my neck got stiff while looking at all those spires. Then went into a cafe, got an espresso and a pastry — expensive, but tasty. And also the taxis there... I thought it would be easier to get aorund, but figured it out. Came home happy, even though my legs were throbbing. Five out of five, definitely.

we were going to Milan for a furniture exhibition, and my husband also wanted to see a football match live, so we went to this travel agency - friends recommended it, said they're quick with documents and will find a decent hotel. we arrived, the guide met us, showed us everything, the hotel turned out to be a bit further from the center than I thought, but the breakfasts were decent and the room had a balcony with a view of some courtyard where a lady hung laundry in the mornings) overall I was happy and would go again, probably.

was looking for a trip for a long time, kept getting all the wrong stuff — either the dates don't line up, or it's the wrong city. eventually i lost it and just went to the first agency near my place, and there the manager put everything together fast and didn't load me up with extra stuff. Milan greeted me with rain, no umbrella, bought one at the station for some ridiculous money, but it broke two days later. but the hotel turned out quiet, windows facing the courtyard, and under the windows it smelled like coffee in the mornings, i stood on the balcony in a sweater and listened to someone downstairs yelling about parking. i ate fine there, pasta, wine, all as it should be, but that habit of theirs to bring the bill and immediately vanish — still don't get it. i touched the cathedral with my hand, the stone cold, rough, and the pigeons there are arrogant as hell. flew back already tired, worn out from all those layovers, but still sat there smiling like an idiot.. 5 out of 5, would come back again

milan is of course not Rome but i liked it. The hotel was normal, the breakfasts sweet to the point of nausea, but the coffee was real and I drank three cups, although at home I don't do that. I walked the streets without a map, once I got lost near some huge cathedral, but I came out to a canal and sat there on the parapet, eating ice cream, watching people. The Duomo of course impresses, but there's a wind and all those pigeons under your feet are annoying, I almost stepped on one. In the shops I bought all sorts of little things — a bag, a scarf, a magnet for acquaintances (although what magnets, I took postcards). I retruned tired but in a good mood and I tell everyone that you have to go

took a week off and realized i don't wanna just sit at home, and my friend had just sent me a link to the agency where she herself booked a tour to turkey, so i went there. The manager found me milan, quickly arranged everything, without all that extra stuff - i appreciate that. flew alone, the city greeted me with rain but that's even for the better. walked around the gallery, touched the old walls with my hand, ate gelato on the go and one time almost rode the tram the wrong way. came back happy, only the suitcase got three kilos heavire from cheese

we went with my friend purely for shopping, because in Milan it's really the best. I walked around the shops until I lost consciousness, bought a bunch of stuff, but then at the hotel I could barely move my legs. Overall the trip was a hundred percent success.

Milan is of course not Rome, but I liked it. I flew with a layover, at the airport I almost fell asleep on an uncomfortable chair. The hotel was small, the room tiny, but clean, and that's the main thing. I had breakfast at a cafe across the street, the croissants there are so good that I forgot about all my diets. I walked around the center on foot, my legs were buzzing by evening, but I still kept going. The Duomo is huge, I stood under it for about twenty minutes just looking up. In the gallery I bought a bag, even though I had little money left, well, whatever. The weather in November was cold and damp, without a hat it was chilly, I wrapped myself in a scarf as best I could. I also ended up at some local holiday, crowd, music, and I ate a chestnut from a paper cone. Overall I came back happy, though tired, I would go again to be hoenst.

to the travel agency I went because I was too lazy to deal with visas myself, and also work was crazy — I asked them to find a short tour to Milan for October, I just wanted to walk around the city, you know, the Duomo, the gallery, espresso at a bar standing up. I arrived, the hotel was fine, though the elevator was tiny — me and my suitcase barely fit in, and breakfast was the same every day, but whatever, I was out walking all day anyway.. yeah, the way back was no adventure either, only at the airport they almost took my vacuum-packed kolbasa at security.!

Went to Milan for work. An exhibition, then a couple more meetings — in general, not a vacation but solid work. Took a tour at the agency because I had no time to deal with visas and flights myself. The hotel turned out ok, but breakfast — just buns and coffee, and I would've liked at least an egg. But Milan is beautiful, the cathedral is just huge, and the ice cream on the square — the best I've eaten in recent years. Four out of five, because with breakfast they clearly cut corners.

went to Milan with my friend for the trendy clothes, because the local shopping in Almaty just isn't it anymore, and the manager happened to suggest a route with stops at the outlets and I figured this was my chance... bought the tour and never regretted it once, the hotel turned out to be two steps from the Duomo, though the breakfast was meh, but the cornetti at the bar across the street — just fire. came back with two suitcases and a mild bewilderment at the coffee prices by the cathedral.

Poezdka v Milan poluchilas, hotel zvonit i govorit, chto vse po planu. Leteli s peresadkoy, ia sizhu v aeroportu i dymaiu, chto zaby la zaryadku dlia telefona - nu i ladno, na meste kupila. Otel bolshoy, no nomer malenkiy, za to bylo tiho i krovat udobnaia, posle dorogi eto glavnoe. Na vtoroy den poshli k Duomo, ia potrogala eti reznye dveri rukami - holodnye, i vot eto zapomnilos bolshe vsego. Potom guliali po ulicam bez karty, para raz zaglianuli v kafe, vziali kapuchino i pishku s kartoshkoy - prosto, no vkusno. Muzei ne liubliu, poetomu v odin iz nih ne poshla, posmotrela na dvorik i ushla na naklonnuyu ploshchad riadom. Pogoda byla svezhaia, veter, ia kupila sharf na ulitse u kakogo-to mastera i nosila ego ne snymaia. V posledniy den muchalas s chem danom v aeroportu - tak i ne ponyala, skolko nado, no propustili. Domoy vernulas ustalaia, no dovolnaia, i uzhe dumaiu, kuda poedu sleduyushchey raz zimoy.

Took a tour to Milan for three days from the agency, hotel was okay, breakfasts so-so but the coffee excellent.. Flew through Istanbul, layover was short, I ran through that airport like a crazy person, but at least I got into the Duomo — seriously gave me goosebumps, even though I stood in line for an hour and pigeon feathers everywhere. Yeah, four stars, because the transfer back was late by about forty minutes and I almost went gray

The manager by the way sorted everything out fast, no stress, and a couple days later i was already stomping through the local streets with ice cream in my hand that was melting faster than i could lick it..

we went to milan because my wife had a dream to see this cathedral and me honestly i more wanted to see the football stadium and so we took a tour at a regular agency in almaty where they just printed out the hotel and tickets for us without any of that there guiding. the cathedral is of course something unreal but i remember more how we ate pizza standing right on the street because there was nowhere to sit and pigeons were running around and one almost dragged off a piece right from the hand it was funny and a little gross.

Bought a tour in Milan and was absolutely thrilled. The hotel turned out right by the cathedral, you step out in the morning — and there it is, that hulk of white marble that I touched with my hand, all sorts of bas-reliefs, saints, scary faces... If I'd known I'd get so lucky with the location, I would never have overpaid for the excursions. The guide took us through some back alleys where locals drink coffee standing, at the counter, in a second, — it was strange, but fun. Shopping didn't work out — the sizes in those boutiques are kind of unreal, but at least I ate pizza and gelato until I felt sick. Five out of five, of course, I'd go back there tomorrow if it weren't for their queues at airport security.

went to Milan and still can't get over it, even though I wasn't really expecting anything special. the guide told everything in an interesting way but by the end I got tired and just sat on the curb by the cathedral — my legs were buzzing, but some guy was playing violin nearby and that was better than any tour.. I'll come back again, for sure, because I didn't get to try proper gelato, only the stuff they sold at the station, and it was so-so, if I'm being hnoest.

The cathedral, the gallery, these narrow streets with laundry on the balconies — I saw it all, chatted with locals at a cafe, came back happy and with a suitcase of cheese that now I don't know what to do with)

hotel was in the center, old building, elevator a cage, but thats also cool. walked all day, then legs were buzzing, but stumbled on a market where they sold cheese and some kind of sausage with mold, bought a piece, ate it on a bench, scolded myself for not taking wine. came back happy, even though the hotel smelled damp.

Booked a tour to Milan after I stupidly promised my wife to show her that cathedral on the square and lost weight to fit into my old jeans — so off we went. Once there it took my breath away, though the local espresso at the counter cost like half a dinner. Everything was fine, but the hotel turned out a bit far from the center, had to walk a lot.

I was looking for an agency in Almaty to sort out the Schengen thing and take the family somewhere at least, and they put together Milan for me — said the visa comes faster through Italy. Decent option, hotel in the suburbs, a bit far from the Duomo, but the market is nearby where I got cheese and wine from locals, not in some tourist trap. I'd give five, but the airport transfer waited an extra hour, so four and that's a stretch.

Walked the streets without a map, just at random – more interesting that way, stumbled upon some small trattoria where I ate pasta with seafood and washed it down with cheap chianti. In the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II touched the bull with my hand – well, for luck, everyone does it. The only downside is the weather: drizzle and grey sky all three days, not once did the sun come out. But came back happy, and the five stars are well deserved.

went to Milan. the hotel was in the center, near the Duomo, but the air conditioner hummed like a tractor. Still came back happy, though i wore my feet raw walking around the galleria.
